If you can, try to get Melanie Gregoire and Melissa Lowe. They work together as a team and because of this, your search process will be much more efficient and targeted.
I was a first time home buyer in a market that saw homes go under contract before they were picked up by Zillow, with multiple offers, and often over the asking price. There was one particular home that I absolutely loved. I wasn't alone in wanting this home; it was saved by several hundred people. The very day that I first contacted Melanie, it had already gone under contract and I was pretty bummed. But when that contract fell through and the house hit the market again, Melanie knew before the listing had even been updated. Melissa put together the offer and it was accepted by the seller same day, avoiding a bidding war.
Melanie and Melissa have good relationships with other agents in the area, which means their phone calls get returned first when a seller agent is getting a ton of inquiries. They've also made excellent recommendations, especially for my loan. I work for a big bank and my credit is excellent but Melanie's lender beat my bank's interest rate by an entire percentage. This was after factoring in the .5 percent employee discount . Most importantly, they went the extra mile, going to see a home when I couldn't make the drive, taking video of the place, responding to texts and emails on weekends and late at night, updating paperwork quickly, giving me insight about the area and history of the neighborhoods, and being there for inspections when I couldn't. I really can't recommend them enough, they are the best!
